The Federation Council announced the indexation of insurance pensions for 37.5 million Russians in 2027

In the coming year, the increase in insurance pensions will affect 37.5 million residents of Russia. This was announced on November 6 by Sergey Chirkov, Chairman of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation.

"Insurance pensions will be increased in relation to 37.5 million people in 2027," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Chirkov, insurance pension payments are provided for several categories of citizens. They are appointed upon reaching the retirement age established by law, receiving disability, as well as in case of loss of the breadwinner.

Svetlana Bessarab, First Deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, previously explained that the indexation process of insurance payments will be carried out in two stages. The first one will start on February 1, and the second one will start on April 1. According to forecasts, in total, Russians to whom the payment is intended will notice its growth by 10.3%.
