Half of the carsharing fleet must be equipped with child seats. On November 4, Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on family issues, made such an initiative.

"Regional operators should amend the rules for using carsharing and ensure that at least half of the cars are equipped with child seats," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, the main difficulty lies in the shortage of such machines. Services claim to have cars with child seats on their websites, but in reality there are few of them, especially with bassinets for the youngest.

It is specified that parents have to buy a chair and carry it with them. Large carsharing aggregators have filters for searching for a car with a child restraint, but it is difficult to find it: the car is usually far away, and it is inconvenient to get to it by other means of transport.

On October 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to provide driving school benefits to mothers with many children. In addition, the president suggested that the regions consider creating taxi fleets for transporting passengers with children at fixed fares. He also instructed to consider the development of car-sharing with child seats in large cities.
