Ukraine will not attack ships carrying Russian diesel fuel to the United States. This was announced on October 28 by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"As for the ships that left Russia for America: no one touches these ships for sure, because they are related to the United States," the Turkish portal Clash Report quotes Zelensky as saying.

The Ukrainian leader also acknowledged that the diesel supply deal concluded between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could lead to a broader easing of Washington's sanctions regime against Moscow.

The head of the White House himself noted on October 25 that Washington's deal with Moscow on diesel supplies was the right and very good decision. Trump stressed that the United States cannot afford to become hostages of the Ukrainian conflict and suffer costs in the oil industry.

On October 21, Special Envoy of the President of the United States Stephen Witkoff thanked Putin for the decision that allowed the resumption of diesel fuel exports. He added that Trump appreciated this step against the background of the economic shock in the world. The Russian President, in turn, noted that after the announcement of supplies from Russia to the United States, diesel prices on world markets decreased by 5-6%.
