The head of the British Ministry of Defense announced NATO's readiness for war with Russia

The North Atlantic Alliance must prepare for a potential armed conflict with Russia. This was announced on October 27 by British Defense Minister Wes Streeting.

"We should be prepared for a scenario in which the United Kingdom and NATO find themselves at war with Moscow," The Guardian newspaper quoted the head of the department as saying.

At the same time, Streeting stressed that the North Atlantic Bloc has no disagreements with the Russian people and no desire to launch full-scale military operations against the Russian Federation. The Minister also confirmed London's commitment to further support Ukraine.

Earlier, the British authorities have repeatedly stated the need to strengthen NATO's defense capability against the background of the current geopolitical situation. At the same time, official London insists that the alliance's actions are solely defensive in nature.

The alliance has increased the number of participating countries in nuclear maneuvers and threatens to deploy tactical weapons near Russia's borders.

On October 24, Streeting set the task of preparing the country for a possible armed conflict within just over 1,000 days. In his opinion, by 2030, the military potential and capabilities of the defense industry of Britain's opponents may reach a level that allows them to launch an attack.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on October 1 that Russia was not going to attack anyone in 2029, 2030, or 2050. The Head of State stressed that if Russia is faced with aggression, it will be forced to respond.
