Two people were killed in a helicopter crash in Saudi Arabia.
Two crew members were killed in the crash of an AH-6i reconnaissance helicopter in Najran province in southern Saudi Arabia. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on October 18.
"An AH-6i reconnaissance helicopter crashed in the Najran region of Saudi Arabia, killing two crew members," the publication says.
It was noted that the cause of the crash was a technical malfunction. The helicopter crashed into the territory under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of National Guard of Saudi Arabia.
Later, the Yemeni Houthis released a video, which, according to them, shows the defeat of a Saudi AH-6i missile in the Najran area. They stated that the helicopter was carrying out hostile actions in the area. However, the footage does not allow us to unambiguously establish the circumstances of the incident. The Saudi authorities have not yet commented on these statements.
Military representative of the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) Yahya Sariah said on October 15 that they had hit a Typhoon fighter jet of the Saudi Arabian Air Force over the province of Saada in northwestern Yemen. He noted that a direct hit was recorded.
