Vucic ridiculed his opponents and accused them of trying to split Serbia.
Those who once split the Serbian people now want to split Serbia. This was announced on October 17 by former Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
"Today Serbia is being attacked from different sides, from outside and from within. Those who once split the Serbian people now want to split Serbia. <...> As long as I breathe, I will stand up to you, fight with you and defeat you. And we will save Serbia, because we have nothing more important, more expensive and more beautiful than Serbia," he told reporters.
According to Vucic, opponents "run like hell from the cross" when they notice him, so no one will agree to go out to debate with him. The former Serbian president stressed that when announcing the results of elections in the country, he always asks to see the results of polling stations in Busija and Palanca, because he knows that they "received a higher percentage of votes than usual," and thus wants to cheer himself up.
Russian Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on October 15 that the West was trying to interfere in the early parliamentary elections in Serbia and destabilize the situation in the country with the help of radical forces. He noted that Russia is closely following the course of the election campaign in Serbia and wishes success to its partners. He also stressed that relations between Russia and Serbia are based on the traditions of brotherhood, trust and mutual assistance.
