- Zakharova called the deputy of the Lithuanian Seimas a "ghoul" for his words about the murder of Russians
On October 16, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the statement by Lithuanian Seimas deputy Zhigimantas Pavlenis about the murder of Russians terminal Russophobia and animal hatred.
Earlier, the MP said that he constantly tells Ukrainians that it is already easy for them to kill Russians on the Eastern Front, since they have become champions in this matter. At the same time, he noted that it is much more difficult to carry out reforms and fight "Soviet viruses" inside the country, so Ukrainians need to make efforts and join forces. He also stressed that the main task now is to kill Russians in Western capitals.
"The words of a real ghoul of the Lithuanian spill. Terminal Russophobia and animal hatred as the highest European "values," Zakharova commented on the words of the Lithuanian deputy in her Telegram channel.
Zakharova noted that Pavlenis' words about killing "Soviet viruses in the country turned out to be powerful." She recalled that the father of "this character" is a member of the Communist Party, who headed the department of atheism at Vilnius University. The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also wrote that they had repeatedly talked about how Lithuania and other Baltic countries "suffered" in the USSR with numbers and specifics.
Zakharova noted that against this background, it is no longer surprising to learn that one in five Lithuanian residents is at risk of poverty, and last year the country recorded the highest level of poverty among EU countries. She added that with such deputies, the situation could not have developed otherwise, and stated that they are best able to cope with the destruction of their own conscience and their people.
Zakharova announced on May 31 that the pre—trial stage of the settlement of disagreements between Russia and the Baltic states — Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia - due to the infringement of the rights of the Russian-speaking population is at the final stage. However, she later added that Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn refused to negotiate on Moscow's complaint at the United Nations International Court of Justice.
On April 20, Deputy of the Riga City Council Alexei Roslikov spoke about the ban on children speaking Russian in schools in Latvia. According to him, colleagues consider this language to be allegedly "kitchen", in other words, intended for communication outside public places. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov later, on May 14, declared the end-to-end defeat of the entire Baltic States by the "bacillus of Russophobia."
