"Batman": what the first part is about (contains spoilers)

Bruce Wayne, who has been protecting the city under the guise of Batman for two years, is facing the most serious challenge in his practice. A sadist nicknamed the Riddler, played by Paul Dano, begins a series of brutal murders targeting key political figures in Gotham. The criminal acts methodically and is consumed with rage, trying to expose the rotten management system of the metropolis.

In the course of chasing a maniac, Batman is forced to engage in a complex game of cat and mouse. The investigation forces the hero to step out of the shadows and act more decisively, attracting both old and new allies. The main goal of the dark knight is to capture the murderer and bring him to justice before the number of victims among the elite of the city becomes critical.

The search for the criminal leads Batman on the trail of a large-scale conspiracy hidden in the bowels of Gotham. In the process of examining the evidence, the protagonist begins to doubt his father's true legacy and wonders if his own family is involved in the corruption schemes of the city. This puts Wayne in front of the need to rethink the impact that his activities have on residents.

Batman is forced to analyze the effectiveness of his crime-fighting role as the night avenger. A study of the hidden side of Gotham life shows that corruption permeates all levels of city government. The hero will have to find out the truth about his parents' past, while trying to stop the chaos that the Riddler is wreaking in an attempt to expose a systemic crisis.

Robert Pattinson's casting for Batman

Pattinson, who played Batman in Reeves' film of the same name, shared that he learned about the approval for the role while on the set of Christopher Nolan's new film. He said that he felt great relief after this news.

The actor also noted that his interpretation of Bruce Wayne differs from previous film versions of the character. Pattinson insisted on showing the character not as a typical playboy, but as a socially detached person.

"That was my only idea for Bruce. Until now, he has been portrayed as a playboy. But what if he is completely socially unsuitable and suffers from agoraphobia to some extent?" he said in an interview with The New York Times in 2024.
