Musk promised to restore the mobility of paralyzed people with the help of Neuralink
American entrepreneur and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said on November 7 that Neuralink technologies will allow paralyzed people to walk and use their hands again in the next few years.
"Neuralink will give people the opportunity to walk and use their hands again in the coming years," the businessman said on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Thus, Musk commented on the publication about the American Noland Arbo, who in 2024 became the first person to receive a Neuralink brain implant.
On September 19, Reuters reported that Neuralink, Musk's company, plans to begin testing technology in October that can translate human thoughts into speech. The aim of the project is to help people who have lost the ability to speak. The technology will allow "to switch directly from the brain to the voice without any keyboard in between," explained the company's president, Dongjin Seo.
