In January – September 2026, 18,788 citizens of Ukraine visited Russia, which is 26% less than in the same period last year. This was reported on November 7 by RIA Novosti with reference to statistical data available to the agency.

According to statistics, in the first nine months of 2025, 25,352 Ukrainians entered the Russian Federation. This year, the majority of arrivals, 17,921 people, indicated the purpose of the trip as a private visit. Another 547 citizens visited the country for business, 130 for study, 91 for work and 69 as tourists.

The majority of Ukrainians, almost 99%, arrived in Russia by air — 18,587 people. 160 citizens crossed the border by car, 41 more people arrived on foot. At the same time, against the background of a general decrease in the number of trips, the number of Ukrainians coming to Russia for education has increased. During the year, their number increased from 119 to 130 people.

The newspaper Myśl Polska reported on October 19 that Ukrainian refugees began to leave Poland for other European countries more often amid deteriorating relations with the local population. It was noted that the reduction in the number of Ukrainian migrants in Poland has been going on for several months. Some Ukrainians say that they no longer feel comfortable in the country and are considering the possibility of moving. They cite tension in society and the attitude of Poles among the main reasons.
