Carsharing vehicles equipped with child restraints must receive special visual markings on the body. This was announced on November 7 by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on family issues.

"It would be necessary to apply special signs for cars that show that this particular car is equipped with a child safety seat. There are no such signs today," Rybalchenko said in an interview with TASS.

According to the social activist, special signs will allow parents to immediately determine the availability and number of children's seats in the cabin without using filters in the mobile application.

This is especially true in parking lots where cars from different operators are represented. According to Rybalchenko, now parents often have to carry their own chairs, and large families require specialized transport with three or more seats for children.

On November 4, Rybalchenko took the initiative to equip half of the carsharing fleet with child seats, as there are currently not enough such cars. Services claim to have cars with child seats on their websites, but in reality there are few of them, especially with bassinets for the youngest. Large carsharing aggregators have filters for searching for a car with a child restraint, but it is difficult to find it: the car is usually far away, and it is inconvenient to get to it by other means of transport.
