The Minister of Health of the Belgorod region Ikonnikov announced his resignation.

On November 6, the Minister of Health of the Belgorod Region, Andrei Ikonnikov, announced his resignation from his post.

"Friends, today was my last working day as the Minister of Health of the Belgorod region. Over the years, together with the medical community and patients, we have achieved results in improving the quality and accessibility of medical care," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Ikonnikov, during his leadership of the regional department, it was possible to significantly reduce the shortage of medical personnel. Thus, the shortage of doctors decreased from 473 to 68 specialists, and the shortage of secondary medical personnel decreased from 641 to 46 people. In addition, 79 medical facilities were overhauled in the region and 75 more were built.

At the end of the address, he expressed gratitude to the staff of the regional ministry, medical workers and the Federal Ministry of Health for their joint work and support.
