Orenburg resident strangled his newborn son

In Orenburg, a 22-year-old local resident strangled his newborn son. This was reported on November 6 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee for the Orenburg region.

"A criminal case has been opened on the murder of a minor child in the city of Orenburg (paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the Maks messenger says.

The incident occurred on November 3 in an apartment on Sovetskaya Street. The man blocked the airways of his newborn baby, as a result of which the baby died. Law enforcement officers detained the suspect. The investigation applied to the court for a preventive measure in the form of detention.

In addition, investigators are checking the possible involvement of the mother of the deceased child in the commission of the crime.
