Russian chocolate shipments to the United States doubled in September

In September, Russian manufacturers doubled their chocolate shipments to the United States compared to the previous month. This became known on November 6 from the data of the American customs statistics, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti.

It is specified that the export volume reached $196.1 thousand. In the first nine months, the figure remained almost at the level of last year — $ 1.86 million.

Despite the growth, Russia is not yet on the list of key dessert suppliers in the United States: its share in American imports does not exceed 1%. The United States receives the bulk of its products from Canada — in the reporting month, it accounted for more than half of the total volume in monetary terms.

On October 30, the All-Russian Association of Fishermen reported that the European Union purchased Russian pollock fillets for almost $164 million in the summer of 2026. At the same time, the supply of American products to the European market has decreased to the lowest levels in recent years. At the same time, the EU reduced purchases of American pollock fillets. In August, their cost was $21.3 million, the lowest figure for the month. In physical terms, imports from the United States dropped to the lowest level in seven years.
