"Summer in Baden", 18+
Directed by Anton Zhelnov. Starring: Philip Yankovsky, Pavel Tabakov, Maria Smolnikova
Successful scientist and Soviet intellectual Leonid Tsypkin (Philip Yankovsky) loses the meaning of life when his son Misha (Pavel Tabakov) announces his move abroad. Having given up his career and acquired titles, the hero decides to fulfill an old dream and write a novel about Dostoevsky. To achieve authenticity, it is not enough to study published novels and biographies, so Yankovsky's character tries to get into the skin of his beloved writer. This experiment cannot be called completely safe. "Summer in Baden" is both the debut feature film by documentary filmmaker Anton Zhelnov and the first film adaptation of Leonid Tsypkin's famous novel, partly based on autobiographical material. Philip Yankovsky switches between two roles — a Soviet scientist and a Russian writer, whose destinies are bizarrely intertwined in the most unexpected way.
"The wicker man", 18+
Directed by Alex Huston Fisher and Elinor Wilson. Starring: Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgard, Peter Dinklage, Elizabeth Debicki, Richard E. Grant
"Can you forgive others for their happiness if it doesn't fit into your worldview?" — this is the question posed by a fantasy comedy from the directing duo of Alex Huston Fisher and Eleanor Wilson. Olivia Colman plays a lonely village woman who orders a handmade spouse from a local basketmaker (Peter Dinklage). Alexander Skarsgard plays the man of his dreams, buried under layers of makeup and prosthetics imitating willow branches. The braided lover has no flaws, and the neighbors of the main character are not ready to put up with his ideality. The picture has already caused a massive stir abroad and discussions about whether such a model of relations can be called healthy.
Navar, 18+
Directed by Artur Grigoriev. Starring: Elizaveta Bazykina, Yulia Beretta, Illarion Marov, Gennady Blinov, Evgeny Sidikhin, Icegergert
Robberies of banks, museums and other seemingly impregnable institutions have lost their relevance: the heroes of this crime film empty the basements of Buryat restaurants. "Navar" was shot by Artur Grigoriev, a graduate of the Moscow School of New Cinema. In the center of the plot is the teenage Shust (Illarion Marov), his accomplices and the unapproachable Ulyana (Elizaveta Bazykina), doomed to become the love interest of the main character. The robbers are not interested in the secrets of Buryat cuisine, but in an underground warehouse of jade figurines — but the robbery is not going according to plan. The plot, in the best traditions of Guy Ritchie, is complemented by a charismatic acting ensemble, in which even the rapper Icegergert found a place.
"Rolling Laud. Wild fun", 18+
Directed by Jeremy Garelik. Starring: Owen Wilson, Christian Convery, Travis Scott, Olivia Luccardi
Stories about the attempts of different generations to understand each other do not lose their relevance and are played out in a variety of settings. Director Jeremy Garelik, who has made a name for American comedies, has put his characters on a rap festival. Owen Wilson's character tries to understand the culture so dear to his teenage son's heart, but the plan to "have a good time" fails. The child disappears into the crowd, and the inconsolable parent is forced to look for him both among the audience and behind the scenes. The special charm of the film is given by filming at the real hip-hop festival Rolling Loud, held in Miami in 2025. Thanks to this, cameos of Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign and other rappers storming the foreign charts happened in the film.
"Twilight. The saga. Eclipse", 18+
Directed by David Slade. Starring: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ashley Greene, Dakota Fanning
Stephenie Meyer's iconic tetralogy fantasy saga has crossed the equator and is now entering the territory of full-fledged action. In the third episode of the story, Bella Swan graduates from high school and is torn between two men close to her heart — the vampire Edward and the werewolf Jacob. The main antagonist in "Eclipse" is Victoria, who dreams of avenging the events of the first part. To do this, the inconsolable heroine gathers an army of newborn (and therefore especially strong) vampires: in order to defeat them, the Cullens will have to make a temporary peace with their blood enemies, the werewolves.
