After the victory of the Democratic Party in the elections to the American Congress, the United States may abandon the military base in Poland. This was announced on November 4 by former Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.

"I'm afraid that the American military base in Poland will not be built," he said on the radio station RMF24.

He also drew attention to the fact that the favorable attitude of US President Donald Trump towards Poland may end due to the fact that after the defeat of the Republicans in the elections, he will focus on the internal affairs of the country. At the same time, Blaszczak criticized the Polish government for losing the opportunity to build its own military base on the territory.
