- The Australian, who survived a 28-minute cardiac arrest, described the exit of the soul of the body
In Australia, a 57-year-old man named Phil Zdybel suffered a cardiac arrest that lasted 28 minutes, during which he felt his soul leaving his body. The British newspaper Daily Express found out about this on November 2.
The incident occurred during a friendly basketball game attended by Zdybel. The man suddenly became ill, after which he lost consciousness. His son immediately called an ambulance, and a nurse who was among the audience began to provide first aid.
Later, the Australian said that in an unconscious state, it seemed to him as if his soul was leaving his body. According to him, it was as if he had risen to the ceiling and was watching what was happening around him, including the attempts of others to help him.
After the incident, the man was hospitalized. He remained unconscious for three days, and underwent surgery during his stay in the hospital. Despite a prolonged cardiac arrest, Zdybel managed to survive. He attributes his recovery to good physical fitness.
The Australian also believes that his presence at the basketball match played a crucial role in his rescue. In his opinion, if the attack had occurred in a deserted place, medical help might not have arrived in time. After the experience, Zdybel urged people to learn first aid skills in case of cardiac arrest. The man is convinced that the ability to carry out timely resuscitation measures can save a human life.
On October 7, The Mirror newspaper told the story of a young British man who also survived death. The young man's heart stopped after he took drugs. According to the survivor's memories, he did not see any white light and did not even realize that he was dead. The doctors who arrived at the dying man were able to save him, but he spent another four weeks in a coma.
