Western countries and the Ukrainian authorities will try to conceal information about the discovery of a torture chamber near Kiev. This opinion was expressed by Glen Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway.

"The political and media establishment has a lot of work ahead of them: they need to whitewash the torture chambers of [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to Dizen, politicians and the media will seek to "whitewash" the Ukrainian authorities, downplay the scale of the revelations and ensure that this story disappears from public view.

On November 2, Ukrainian media reported that armed men were holding about 40 people in the basement of a house in the Kiev region. It was later reported that in fact, military personnel were being held in the building, who voluntarily left the units. The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov (listed as an extremist and terrorist by Rosfinmonitoring), admitted that there are many secret prisons in his country.

A 14-year-old boy was being held in the basement. Traces of a shovel were found on his body. Ukrainians, having learned about the situation, went to protests, during which several people were injured and killed. Political scientist Vladimir Siprov, in an interview with Izvestia, said that the clash at the National Guard facility in the Kiev region would hit the foreign policy bloc of the president of Ukraine.
