Atyrau–Samara oil pipeline returned to work after drone attack
Oil supplies via the Atyrau–Samara main pipeline have been restored after a temporary shutdown caused by a drone attack on the facilities of the Samara hub in Russia. This was announced on November 3 by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
"As of November 3, 2026, oil transportation via the Atyrau–Samara main oil pipeline is carried out normally. After a technical inspection, pumping was resumed," KazTAG reports.
According to the ministry, oil intake was suspended on the morning of November 2 after an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on the facilities of the Samara hub. As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The ministry added that they continue to monitor the situation.
At the end of July, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium resumed oil transshipment at the marine terminal in Novorossiysk a week after the forced shutdown caused by a massive attack by Ukrainian drones. The Kazakh Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks.
