Scammers create chatbots in Telegram offering to pay for subscriptions to foreign services, and then steal money from bank cards. On November 3, the Department for the Organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia warned about this.

"The criminals sent phishing links to the victims, which led to pages where users were asked to provide bank card information, after which the entire amount was debited from the account," the message on the Telegram channel of the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs says.

As an example, the agency cited a bot that allegedly allowed you to subscribe to ChatGPT Plus. The Interior Ministry clarified that the bot has already changed its name and now offers to purchase Telegram Premium at a reduced price. The department stressed that OpenAI does not have an official chatbot on Telegram, and offers to pay for ChatGPT Plus through such services may be fraudulent.

On November 1, the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported on a fraud scheme in which intruders steal personal data under the pretext of updating information about the attachment to the clinic.

Scammers send messages from accounts disguised as the official pages of medical institutions and offer to follow the link to attach to or detach from the clinic. On a phishing site, users are asked for an SMS code, the transmission of which allows attackers to gain access to an account in a messenger or on the Gosuslugi portal.
