Emergency power outages were introduced in Kiev and the Kiev region.
Emergency power outages began to operate in Kiev and the Kiev region, which partially suspended public transport in the Ukrainian capital. This was announced on November 2 by the DTEK energy holding.
"Kiev and the Kiev region: emergency power outages have been introduced by order of Ukrenergo. We remind you that schedules are not valid during emergency shutdowns," the DTEK press service wrote on the Telegram channel.
Against the background of power outages in Kiev, there were disruptions in the operation of urban electric transport. According to the Kyivpastrans utility company, traffic has partially stopped on several routes.
On October 8, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko called on residents to leave the city in the coming months. At the same time, he stated that he did not intend to urge residents to completely evacuate. However, due to the destruction of bridges and critical infrastructure, Kiev is forced to prepare for winter in conditions of survival.
On October 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky proposed creating a separate team to manage Kiev. According to him, various institutions are now daily dealing with the situation with the city's electricity and water supply, as well as the operation of bridges. Zelensky said that he does not consider the situation in Kiev as a political confrontation, but acknowledged the difficulty of interacting with the city authorities.
