UAE police have identified the suspects in the murder of crypto businessman Novak
UAE law enforcement officers have almost completely restored the route of movement of the alleged killers of Russian crypto businessman Roman Novak and his wife from video surveillance recordings, and their identities have been established. This was announced on November 1 by Yuri Yashkov, head of the first directorate for the investigation of particularly important cases of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg.
"The lawyer contacted the police, and the Arab law enforcement officers, in turn, were able to almost completely restore the route of Novak and the defendants using CCTV cameras and establish their identities," the investigator told RIA Novosti.
According to Yashkov, his Arab colleagues passed on the information they had gathered to Russian law enforcement officers, which helped to detain the accused after their return to their homeland.
Novak and his wife were killed in the UAE last November. The family was abducted for the purpose of extortion, and when they did not receive a ransom, the couple was killed. The remains were found in the desert, in a wasteland.
