Hans Natorp, chairman of the Danish Sports Association, said that the organization would not urge hockey players to boycott competitions if Russian athletes participated. This was reported on October 30 by Via Ritzau.

Natorp noted that the Danish side must comply with the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), although the verdict itself caused him dissatisfaction and concern.

"The CAS is the highest judicial body in the field of sports, so we must respect its decision. Nevertheless, the verdict makes me uneasy, and I am extremely disappointed by it. I strongly disagree that Russia should have access to participate in major championships," Natorp stressed.

He added that, in his opinion, Russian athletes should refuse to participate in competitions, not Danish ones.

On the same day, the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) welcomed the CAS decision to allow Russian national teams to participate in international competitions. The KHL congratulated the Russian Hockey Federation (RIHF) and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation on their victory in bringing the country back to the world stage.

At the same time, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) stated that they were disappointed with the CAS decision, but would comply with it. Despite disagreeing with the court's position, the IIHF undertook to "urgently assess the steps and time" required to implement the decision, which, in the opinion of the federation, does not take into account the practical aspects of preparing for the competition.
