US President Donald Trump has expressed support for the idea of CNN moving under the leadership of billionaire Elon Musk. The head of state spoke about his attitude to possible changes in the media holding in an interview with blogger Benny Johnson.

When asked whether Musk should head the TV company, Trump noted that he positively assesses such a prospect.

"I would have liked it more than what is happening now. He's a good man, he's doing a good job," the American leader said.

The reason for the discussion was reports that Elon Musk had invested $1 billion in Skydance, the owner of CNN. During the interview, Trump was asked to comment on this information and assess the billionaire's potential as a media manager.

On September 18, Trump announced that he was immediately revoking access to CNN, MS NOW and the Politico newspaper due to, according to him, unfavorable coverage of his administration's activities. He warned that "other media outlets spreading fake news" may also be banned soon. In this regard, journalists from the White House press pool refused to replace the CNN team on September 21, expressing solidarity with their colleagues.

Later, on September 24, the NYT reported that the White House lifted Trump's ban on the non-admission of a number of media outlets, but on October 5, CNN reported on the non-admission of Politico journalists aboard the president's plane.

In addition, in January, Trump rejoiced at the problems with the ratings of CNN journalist Jim Acosta, and also insulted the reporter. The journalist announced his retirement from the TV channel after 18 years of work. In response, the US president called this good news, and Acosta himself one of the worst, most dishonest reporters in the history of journalism and a capital nasty guy.
