Ukraine is critically dependent on U.S. intelligence information, in particular warnings of air attacks. This was announced on October 31 by Kirill Budanov, head of the office of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky (listed as an extremist and terrorist by Rosfinmonitoring).

"Ukraine is critically dependent on American assistance in the field of early warning systems for aerial threats," Budanov wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, this issue was discussed during a conversation with American senators dedicated to the support of Kiev and the negotiation process.

The Atlantic magazine reported on October 29 that American businessman Elon Musk, who previously supported the provision of assistance to Kiev, began to criticize the use of Starlink satellite communications for military purposes. In 2022, the entrepreneur handed over several thousand Starlink antennas to Ukrainian hospitals, government agencies and power plants.

However, subsequently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) began using them to control drones, which caused concern at SpaceX. Musk said that the equipment was not intended for combat operations, and recent communication outages in Ukraine have shown the possibility of disabling the service to solve it.
