Polish political parties are divided on the issue of participating in consultations on the situation around the Constitutional Court, which were announced by President Karol Nawrocki. This was announced on October 31 by TOK FM radio.

The ruling Civil Coalition stated that they did not intend to participate in the meeting. MP Grzegorz Napieralski explained the party's position by saying that "the constitution must be respected, not consulted." The "Leftists" also refused to participate.

MP Sebastian Gayewski stated that "the rule of law and the role of the Constitutional Court in the Polish state are not subject to discussion." He also questioned what the parties should talk about with the president, mentioning his overnight visit to the courthouse.

The Polish Peasant Party said that the decision would be made at a meeting of the leadership. The invitation of all political forces was called a condition for participation there. Polska 2050 confirmed receipt of the invitation, but clarified that the party's board would consider its details.

The Confederation said that representatives of the party would "undoubtedly take part" if the president sent an invitation. The Law and Justice Party also confirmed its willingness to participate in the consultations.

In Poland, on October 30, the conflict between citizens and the authorities escalated against the background of the appointment of judges of the Constitutional Court. A crowd of protesters gathered outside the Constitutional Court building. Several people tried to break inside, breaking through the fence. They were detained by the police, after which various objects flew at the security forces. The crowd, according to media reports, wanted to storm the court, but the police blocked their way. Later, security forces cordoned off its territory.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki was on a plane en route to Senegal at the time. After receiving reports of unrest, he ordered the aircraft to turn around and return to Warsaw. Upon his return, he convened an urgent meeting with the participation of all political forces to resolve the situation in the Constitutional Court.

Dmitry Bunevich, an adviser to the director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS), a political scientist, in a conversation with Izvestia, linked the aggravation in the country with the conflict between the liberal government and the conservative Law and Justice party. He added that the long-standing confrontation had entered an active phase after the announcement of the dismissal of the Chairman of the Constitutional Court.
