Russians explained the conditions for receiving an urgent pension payment

Men from the age of 60 and women from the age of 55 can apply for an urgent pension payment if they have at least 15 years of insurance experience, 30 pension points and pension savings have been formed. This was announced on October 30 by Maria Kutarova, Associate Professor at the Presidential Academy.

"Urgent pension payments are due to men who have reached the age of 60 and women who have reached the age of 55, who have a minimum insurance record of at least 15 years and an individual pension coefficient (pension points) of at least 30. A prerequisite is the availability of pension savings," the expert said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Savings can be formed through participation in a state co-financing program, voluntary contributions from a citizen or an employer, as well as maternity capital funds allocated for a funded pension. The right to payment remains even in case of early retirement due to old age, for example, for employees of harmful industries, teachers and parents with many children, if they have the appropriate savings.

The citizen chooses the payment period independently, but it must be at least 10 years, or 120 months. The amount of the monthly payment depends on the length of the period and the total amount of savings.

For registration, you must submit an application to the Social Fund of Russia or a non-governmental pension fund in which savings are stored.

The highest average old-age insurance pensions in Russia at the beginning of 2026 were recorded in Chukotka, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Magadan Region, it was reported on the same day. In Chukotka, the average insurance pension was 45,450 rubles, in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug — 41,850 rubles, and in the Magadan Region — 39,788 rubles.
