- Roscosmos denied the conservation of the Russian Zvezda module on the ISS
The Russian Zvezda module on the International Space Station (ISS) is not planned to be preserved. This was announced on October 29 by Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Bakanov in an interview with reporters on the sidelines of the Russia—Africa summit.
"We don't preserve anything," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Bakanov stressed that the specialists will continue to operate the module as usual.
On October 16, Roscosmos cosmonaut Ivan Wagner attended a lecture by the Adygea State University project "Science around. Discoveries continue," he explained the peculiarities of sleep in space. According to him, astronauts on the ISS use headphones with active noise cancellation during sleep due to the constant noise of operating systems. In addition, some crew members have difficulty falling asleep after arriving at the station.
