In Germany, 79 cases of children being taken from Ukrainian families have been officially recorded. This was announced on October 29 by Finnish activist Sally Rayski.

"Officially, there are 79 such cases in Germany. There are parents there, they tried to take their children away somehow, but everyone is silent about it," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Rayski said that in Europe, children are taken away from Ukrainians using various reasons, from references to the psychological state of parents to laws on child protection. According to her, such stories are presented in the media as fake or Russian propaganda.

At the same time, the activist noted that there are organizations in Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany that help Ukrainian families seek the return of their children.

In Poland, on October 13, it was proposed to expand criminal liability for facilitating the illegal stay of people: now, if the amendments are adopted, persons who help migrants not only for money, but also free of charge, may fall under the rule.

Polish political analyst Marek Miskiewicz said on October 5 that the attitude of Polish residents towards the reception of Ukrainian refugees has changed: the majority of respondents now oppose the placement of new arrivals. According to him, a possible new wave of Ukrainian migration may become a more serious test for Poland than in 2022.
