According to a source from Izvestia, a 39-year-old employee of a private security company (PSC) fired an Izh-71 service pistol at his roommate during an argument, and then at her daughter, who ran to the noise. After the incident, the man allegedly committed suicide.

According to one of the children of the deceased, the conflict began after the woman called her stepfather a traitor. According to neighbors, the family moved into a rented apartment on October 16 and lived there for less than two weeks. Residents positively characterized the new neighbors and did not notice any scandals behind them. The children in the apartment, who were not injured in the shooting, were handed over to the guardianship authorities.

The Izvestia source clarified that the pistol used in the murder was a service weapon, which, after the shift, the PSC employee had to hand over to the storage room. How the man brought it home is to be clarified by law enforcement officers. According to preliminary data, he had not previously been held accountable and was not on preventive records.

The investigators opened a criminal case under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of two or more persons"). Investigative actions are continuing at the scene.
