HBO revealed the names of the actors for the roles of Lily and James Potter and Charlie Weasley

HBO has revealed the names of the actors who will play Lily and James Potter, as well as Charlie Weasley in the series based on the Harry Potter books. Deadline magazine reported this on October 27.

According to the publication, the role of Charlie Weasley went to actor Harry Gilbey, and Harry Potter's parents will be played by Jasper Talbot and Hannah Chinn. They are expected to appear in the first season of the series, which is called "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and tells the plot of J. K. Rowling's first book.

Lily and James Potter appear in the original films in Harry's memoirs, and Charlie Weasley will be shown on screen for the first time — despite being mentioned in the books, he did not appear in the film adaptation. The premiere of the first season of the series is expected on December 25.

The Harry Potter series will show more of the events of the first book

Deadline announced on October 24 that Kit Harington has joined the cast of the Harry Potter series. It was clarified that the British actor will play the role of Professor of defense against the Dark Arts, Chrysostom Lockhart.
