The detained organizers of the illegal migration channel were engaged in the illegal placement of citizens of India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Russia. This was announced on October 27 by the Center for Public Relations (SOC) of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia.

"In the Perm Territory, Rostov, Novgorod and Ivanovo regions, the illegal activities of the heads of a number of commercial companies related to the organization of an interregional criminal community operating in order to ensure the functioning of the illegal migration channel were suppressed," the report said.
