- Russian low-orbit satellite communications service to be tested in Belarus
Tests of the Russian low-orbit satellite communications service will be held in Belarus in the coming weeks. This was announced on October 26 by Alexey Shelobkov, head of the private aerospace company Bureau 1440, part of X Holding.
"In the coming weeks, we will work with Belintersat (the Belarusian satellite operator. We will start testing to verify the operability of the service from the territory of the Republic of Belarus," he said in an interview with TASS.
According to him, the Bureau 1440 satellite group is negotiating with other countries, while it is "at the stage of preparation" and will report on the results later. At the same time, the group's work in international markets is possible due to the global coverage embedded in the target architecture of the system.
Dmitry Bakanov, head of the Roscosmos state corporation, announced on October 21 that Russia has the launch vehicles necessary to deliver the infrastructure of a future nuclear power plant (NPP) to the Moon. The head of the state corporation clarified that the necessary launch facilities already exist, so the creation of a power plant for a future lunar station remains a separate task.
