Zenit beat Dynamo Makhachkala with a score of 2:0

Zenit St. Petersburg beat Dynamo Makhachkala 2-0 on October 25 in the home match of the 12th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

The meeting was held at the Gazprom Arena and was attended by 30,001 spectators. The hosts scored both goals from the penalty spot: Felipe Augusto — in the 63rd minute, Maxim Glushenkov — in the 77th. At the same time, the 11-meter shot was missed by Miro from Dynamo in the 16th minute, and Kevin Andrade from Zenit in the 8th minute added to the second half.

Thanks to the victory, St. Petersburg scored 27 points and came out on top, beating Dynamo Moscow and CSKA Moscow, who each have 25 points. The Makhachkala club extended its winless streak in the championship to five matches and occupies the 10th place with 13 points.

In the next round, on November 2, Zenit will play on the road with Samara Wings of the Soviets. Dynamo Makhachkala will host Rostov a day earlier. Before that, both teams will play matches in the group stage of the Russian Cup. On October 29, St. Petersburg will face Kaliningrad Baltika, and Makhachkala will play away from Krylia Sovetov on the same day.
