On October 25, Ekaterina Kirillova, the creative producer of the TV series "Specials", told Izvestia about the details of the work on the project, which was created in close cooperation with the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia. The scenarios of the episodes are based on real operations, the materials for which were developed directly by the special services.

According to Kirillova, the film crew tried to recreate the events as accurately as possible. The plots were based on the terrorist attacks that actually took place, including the bombing of the Nevsky Express and the attack at Domodedovo airport.

"We talked with the participants of the events, we were provided with materials that can be made publicly available to people. Of course, we watched the news. <...> The terrorist attacks on the basis of which we wrote stories, they actually happened," said the producer.

To achieve accuracy, the actors and the team consulted with the current security forces and studied the operational personnel. Before filming began, the entire cast underwent a special training course at a specialized center under the guidance of instructors and fighters.

During the recording of episodes in the Caucasus, the artists communicated with local residents about the tragic events they had experienced in order to "pay tribute to the population of the Caucasian regions." The project pays special attention to the events in Crimea in 2014. According to the creators, the series will reveal previously unpublished information about the prevention of threats during the referendum on the peninsula.

"We will show how the residents of Crimea fought attempts to destabilize the situation and disrupt the referendum. <...> Absolutely this is encrypted information. Absolutely nothing is known about her," Ekaterina Kirillova added.

The final eight episodes of "Specials" will be shown on REN TV on October 25 at 3 p.m.

On the same day, Izvestia correspondent Maxim Oblender said that the FSB had provided equipment for the TV series "Specials". To get on the hijacked ferry in Crimea, the specialists used so—called underwater vehicles, and during the filming of the storming of the gallery of modern art in the capital, the actors hid behind the Falcatus - this armored car weighs 15 tons and accelerates to 200 km/ h.
