The State Duma announced the return of about 70% of relocators to Russia.
About 70% of Russians who left the country after the start of the special military operation have already returned to their homeland. This was announced on October 25 by State Duma deputy Oleg Matveychev.
"Most of them have already returned — 70 percent. They fled back from Europe in horror, they say that now they will not exchange Moscow for anything, they have suffered," he said in an interview with RT.
According to him, the decision of the relocators to return was influenced by the difficulties they faced abroad. Among them, the parliamentarian attributed domestic and bureaucratic problems, a lack of familiar service and a sense of security, financial difficulties, as well as disappointment in the Western way of life.
On May 14, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin warned those who wanted to return home that they could face legal proceedings in their homeland if they insulted Russian military personnel, harmed the Russian Federation, or supported the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, responsibility will not affect those who were abroad for work or recreational purposes. People like Volodin added would not face obstacles.
