The Interior Ministry called a way to check the passport for validity

You can check the validity of a Russian citizen's passport through the official service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the Gosuslugi portal. This follows from the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, which were reviewed by TASS on October 24.

"This is the most affordable and effective way to verify the validity of a passport," the agency said in its materials.

To check, you need to log in to the portal and find the "Verify passport validity" service. Then you will need to specify the series and number of the document, as well as the name and surname of its owner, and send a request.

Such verification may be necessary not only for government agencies, but also for citizens. In particular, information about the validity of a passport may be required when applying for employment, concluding real estate transactions, or applying for a loan or loan.
