Germany announced preparations for a business forum with Russia and the United States
The German side has begun preparations for participation in the trilateral business forum of Russia, the USA and Germany. This was announced on October 22 by Markus Fronmaier, deputy head of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the Bundestag.
The MP said he was looking forward to the Trilateral Economic Forum.
"Preparations for it are already underway. <...> I firmly believe that dialogue and mutual understanding are the foundation for a more prosperous and peaceful future," Fronmaier wrote on the social network X, addressing Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of Russia for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
Earlier that day, Dmitriev announced that the Russia-USA—Germany business forum was scheduled for the second quarter of 2027. He suggested that businessmen from Italy and France will also take part in the upcoming event.
Dmitriev announced on September 9 that the Russian Federation had initiated a business forum between the three countries. On the same day, the idea received support from the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham Russia).
