Medvedev noted the effectiveness of the register of controlled persons among migrants

The register of controlled persons, which restricts the rights of violators of migration legislation, has proven its effectiveness. This was stated on October 22 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on state migration policy.

"The registry has been operating since February last year. In general, he proved his effectiveness," the deputy chairman of the Security Council stressed, the recording is available on his channel in the Maks messenger.

Medvedev noted that foreign citizens who have committed minor offenses in the migration sphere should be given the opportunity to legalize their status. To continue their work, they will need to go through mandatory procedures and pay fines.

The meeting also discussed the results of using the Amina mobile application, which simplifies the registration of citizens from visa-free countries. According to Medvedev, the system has been successfully tested in Moscow and the Moscow region. Medvedev stressed that this experience should be gradually extended to other regions of the country.

"I will touch upon the issue of preparing legislative changes that should form a more effective system of organized recruitment of foreign workers. This task is set out in a number of presidential instructions and is reflected in the concept of state migration policy. We need to bring all this to an end," Medvedev said at the meeting.
