Ukraine will have to pay $94.725 billion to repay and service its external public debt over the next 10 years. Such figures on October 19 follow from the data indicated in the payment schedule of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance.

According to the schedule, by the end of 2037, the repayment of the principal amount of the external public debt will amount to $66.616 billion, RIA Novosti calculated based on department data. Another $28.109 billion will be spent on its maintenance.

Thus, the total amount stipulated by the schedule of payments on the external public debt over the next decade will reach $94.725 billion.

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine regularly publishes a calendar of payments on the national debt. It includes only payments made by the agency in the schedule, so the document does not reflect the full amount of debt obligations of the country.

The country's public debt increased to about $223 billion by the end of September 2026. According to forecasts of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance, the debt will continue to grow and reach $240 billion by the end of 2026. In the same month, it was reported that it reached a historic high, amounting to 9602.89 billion hryvnia, or $ 215.55 billion.
