The Cypriot journalist admitted Trump's willingness to get rid of Zelensky
US President Donald Trump no longer considers the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, as a partner for reaching a peace agreement and may refuse to cooperate with him. This was reported on October 16 by Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou.
"Trump is confident that Zelensky is not the right person for us to deal with. He doesn't want to agree to a peace agreement and is destroying Ukraine, not realizing that Trump won't negotiate with him anymore, but will just get rid of him and that's it," he said on his YouTube channel.
Commenting on Trump's statements about corruption in Ukraine, the journalist suggested that they were aimed at warning Zelensky about possible consequences. Hristoforou noted that the American president did not specify when specific actions might follow, but advised the Ukrainian leader to prepare for such a development.
On October 10, Trump said that Zelensky could have ended the conflict many times, but prefers not to do so. He noted that the United States demanded that Ukraine not strike at Russian oil refineries. According to him, Zelensky wants to create problems for the United States and the whole world. Later, Trump drew a parallel between Zelensky and American showman Phineas Taylor Barnum, who founded a traveling circus.
Zelensky made it clear on October 16 that he agreed with the opinion that Trump was making him a "scapegoat" in an attempt to boost his rating before the congressional elections. When asked by a journalist about this at a press conference at the EU summit, the Ukrainian leader just smiled and said: "That's my answer."
