Russians will have seven short working weeks in 2027.
In 2027, Russians expect seven shortened working weeks. They will fall in February, March, May, June, November and December. This was announced on October 17 by Svetlana Bessarab, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.
"Seven short working weeks are planned for 2027. They fall both on the days after the holidays and on the eve of the holidays. For example, in February 2027, we will have three days off in connection with the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day and a short four—day working week after," TASS quoted the deputy as saying.
After March 8, which falls on a Monday in 2027, Russians will also have a four-day working week. In May, short working weeks are scheduled for May 4-7 and 11-14. In June, the four-day working week will fall on June 15-18.
Before National Unity Day, Russians will work for three days — from 1 to 3 November. The New Year's Eve working week will also be shortened: you will have to work for four days — from December 27 to December 30.
"In total, 247 working days and 118 days off and holidays are expected in 2027," Bessarab stressed.
In November 2026, Russian residents will have a short working week due to the celebration of National Unity Day. According to the approved production calendar, Wednesday, November 4, will be an additional day off. The working days will be November 2, 3, 5 and 6.
