The cubs of the Bolshoi Moscow Circus were named Bob and Marley in honor of the Jamaican singer and musician Bob Marley. Edgard Zapashny, General Director of the circus, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, told about this on October 17.

Musical names for tigers are a tradition of the Zapashny brothers. This is how they express respect for famous singers, including those who are no longer alive.

"There are singers who are no longer in this world. We have now named one tiger cub Bob, in honor of Bob Marley, and his brother was named Marley, and now the union of two brothers, named after the great singer Bob Marley, is performing in our arena," Zapashny told RIA Novosti.

Bob Marley himself went down in music history as one of the most famous representatives of reggae. In his homeland, Jamaica, he acquired the status of a cult figure. The musician died in 1981, when he was 36 years old.

Chinese giant pandas Pingping and Fushuang flew to the Atlanta Zoo in the U.S. state of Georgia on September 27. They will live in the United States for 10 years as a sign of friendship between the two countries. Before departure, a farewell ceremony was held at the local panda breeding research base.
