A military court in Moscow has extended the arrest of Viktor Tarazevich, the former head of the Department of Resource Support of the Russian Defense Ministry, until February in the case of embezzlement of 700 million rubles while supplying low-quality stew to the special operation zone. This was announced on October 16 by a source of Izvestia.

The preventive measure was also extended to Dmitry Vislobokov, commercial director of Narmyasprom LLC. On August 10, businessman Dmitry Mizgir was detained in Belarus, whom Russian law enforcement agencies consider to be one of the key participants in a fraudulent scheme to supply low-quality stewed meat to the special operation zone.

Mizgir was on the federal wanted list for about three months. The businessman was identified through telephone conversations and recordings from surveillance cameras.

Presumably, he provided interaction between Tarazevich and the producers of canned meat. According to media reports, Mizgir entered into a pre-trial cooperation agreement and confessed to the criminal case.
