Intoxicated, the father-torturer hit the child 30 times and drowned him in a bathtub in the Orenburg region. This was announced on October 16 by the regional prosecutor's office in the Maks messenger.

It is noted that the incident occurred on Guy Street in Buzuluk on the night of January 6, 2026. A 22-year-old drunk man, after beating a child, began drowning him in a filled bathtub face down until the child stopped showing signs of life. To hide the violation of the law, the accused staged everything as an accident.

In addition, according to the prosecutor's office, the man had previously repeatedly beaten the child, restricted his diet and forbade him to feed. In December 2025, according to investigators, he threw a minor onto a bed, as a result of which he hit his head on a radiator. The accused also left the child in a diaper on the floor of an unheated veranda in winter.

The man was charged with murdering a minor with extreme cruelty for hooligan motives and torturing a minor who was in a helpless and dependent state. The criminal case has been sent to the court for consideration on its merits.
