Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces have cleared the logistics hub of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Volchansk direction

Russian military personnel have cleared an important logistics hub for the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Volchansk area of a special military operation. On October 15, fighters of the North group of Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation shared with Izvestia the results of their work.

The enemy used the village of Chernoe to store ammunition and deploy reserves, which were then transferred to the Volchansk direction. The shells and provisions were delivered by trucks and hidden in the houses of local residents.

The servicemen of the 127th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 14th Army Corps of the North group distinguished themselves in the battles. The deputy commander of the company with the call sign Waldemar drew attention to the fact that the militants prefer to attack from a wide line, having obviously accumulated enough forces.

"They (APU. — Ed.) they come in both "twos" and "threes". Recently, a group of five people came in. They always come from different flanks, along different routes," he told Izvestia correspondent Alexei Poltoranin.

Russian Army soldiers, as Waldemar emphasized, are constantly increasing their combat readiness and are being trained at training grounds, where they are training to clean up settlements in the boiler area. At the same time, during these operations, according to the fighter, FPV drones or ground-based robotic systems (NRTKS) are used.

His colleague, the operator of an FPV drone with the call sign Yerema, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are making multiple but unsuccessful attempts to break through the encirclement.

"We are working on a group of opponents trying to break through to their own, that is, to disrupt the encirclement. <...> We are trying to drop leaflets with offers to surrender. Someone gives up, someone tries to hold on to the last. The situation is tense, but we are moving," Yerema said.

By the beginning of September, there were about 1,700 Ukrainian soldiers in the Volchansk pocket, but subsequently their numbers decreased. At the same time, Russian units are expanding the outer ring of the encirclement: the fighting has moved to the areas of Prikolotnoye, Kotovka and Gogino.

"The Ukrainian militants have no chance of escaping from the encirclement. The only thing is to surrender," Poltoranin concluded.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian Armed Forces had established control over Cherny and Nefedovka on the same day. The ministry stressed that the operation allowed the military to tighten the ring even more tightly, in which the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are blocked. The day before, military expert Boris Jerelievsky, speaking to Izvestia, said that the liquidation of Ukrainian groups in the Volchansk and Dobropolsky boilers was entering an active phase. Then he said that Russian unmanned systems and aircraft continue to operate on positions held by Ukrainian units and their immediate rear.
