CSKA defeated Rostov in the group stage of the Russian Cup

Football club (FC) CSKA beat FC Rostov 4-0 in the match of the fourth round of the group stage of the Russian Premier League (RPL) Cup of Russia. The match took place on October 14 at the VEB Arena in Moscow.

In the second minute, Mohamed Azzi opened the scoring, scoring the first goal for the army club, Sport-Express reports. Two minutes later, Enrique Carmo increased the advantage of the hosts. Kirill Glebov scored two assists.

In the tenth minute, Ivan Oblyakov converted a penalty. After the break, Imran Firov scored CSKA's fourth goal.

Despite the victory, the Army team is in third place in Group D with five points. Rostov remains the leader of the quartet with nine points.

CSKA will play against the invincible Rostov again, Spartak will compete with the championship outsider, Zenit will host Makhachkala.

On the same day, an RPL match took place between FC Dynamo Moscow and FC Akhmat Grozny. The match ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of Dynamo. Viktor Okishor scored in the 45th minute and Yaroslav Gladyshev scored in the second half.
