Anna Shevchuk explained the refusal to film their daughters with Yura Borisov
Actress Anna Shevchuk explained why her and Yura Borisov's daughters, Marfa and Akulina, do not take part in filming. According to the actress, despite the incoming proposals, there is still no agreement in the family on this issue, the Cinema Mail reported on Thursday, October 8.
The statement was made at the Mayak Festival of Contemporary Russian Cinema in Gelendzhik, where the competitive drama Vanya was presented. Shevchuk played the role of the main character's mother in the film, and Borisov appeared in one of the episodes. According to the industrial media "Documentary Cinema", the film is the debut feature-length directorial work of actress Klavdia Korshunova. The plot tells about a 12-year-old boy from a village near Kostroma, who goes to Moscow in search of his father.
"There have been offers, but Yura and I are not ready yet, we have not agreed," explained the actress, who is also responsible for her husband's professional affairs as his agent.
Shevchuk added that she herself does not strive for children to be filmed, so the girls do not appear on the screens yet. The director of the film, Klavdia Korshunova, noted that she offered Anna to take her daughters to the set, since many children of the crew members, including her own, are involved in the film. However, there were no suitable roles specifically for Marfa and Akulina in the project.
"We filmed all the children there — mine, our executive producer. We installed all the children who were at hand there," the director said.
The cast of the film "Vanya", in addition to Shevchuk and Borisov, included Daria Melnikova and Ivan Agranovich, who played the main role. The premiere of the film in wide distribution is scheduled for 2027.
The family of Yuri Borisov and Anna Shevchuk has two daughters, Marfa and Akulina, born in 2015 and 2017, respectively. Despite the current refusal to film, the couple's children already have experience of participating in media projects. So, in March 2024, Borisov, his wife and daughters took part in a photo shoot for the Russian magazine Prababoushka.
