All this awaits the audience in the projects of the new season presented by the Institute for the Development of the Internet (IRI). Also on the way is the film adaptation of the science fiction novel by Sergei Lukyanenko and the large-scale historical military detective novel "New Babylon". Read more about the most anticipated premieres in the "Izvestia" article.

Inspection records

The presentation of the new season of the IRI gathered the main representatives of the film industry at the "Art" on September 23. Among the guests of the evening are actor and director Egor Beroev, actors Leonid Yarmolnik, Viktor Vasiliev, Anna Snatkina, screenwriter Andrey Zolotarev and others. The event was attended by Alexey Goreslavsky, General Director of the IRI, and Elena Lapina, General producer of the IRI.

— Compared to the 2024/2025 season, the number of projects with high visibility has increased by 44%. The absolute leader in this indicator is the TV series "Curious Barbara": 127% of the search rate. The second season repeated the success of the first, the viewer repeatedly reviews the episodes of the project," Alexey Goreslavsky shared during the presentation.

However, the audience showed a steady interest not only in children's content. Individual game series were able to captivate older viewers.

— "Moscow does not believe in tears. Everything is just beginning" and "Lilies of the Valley. The Second Spring" has been continuously featured in the top 15 popular TV series of the "Mediascope" rating for two and three months, respectively," Elena Lapina reported from the stage.

Knights and Golitsyn

Among the bright novelties that were discussed at the presentation, "Knights of the Forty Islands" based on the novel by Sergey Lukyanenko. The roles were played by Polina Gukhman and Artyom Koshman. Their characters are transported to a mysterious world that only initially seems like paradise, but in fact turns out to be the epicenter of the endless struggle of all against all. The series will add to the collection of original projects of the online cinema Wink.

Among the historical works is the large—scale film "Golitsyn". Last week it became known that the team had completed filming in Dagestan. The action takes place at the end of the 19th century. Due to a conflict with his father, the young prince Lev Golitsyn comes to St. Petersburg for the first time. He will forever change the perception of Russian winemaking and prove his ability to compete with renowned French brands. Danila Kozlovsky plays the role of Prince Golitsyn. The cast of the series also includes Svetlana Ivanova, Anton Shagin, Anastasia Krasovskaya.

Another bright novelty is the historical military detective novel "New Babylon" with Roman Evdokimov and Igor Mirkurbanov. The action takes place in 1942. This is a story about the confrontation between operative Moore and a criminal who planned a sabotage. The television premiere will take place on REN TV, the online premiere on the Wink platform.

"""" and the new project of the creators of the hits "GDR" and "Lilies of the Valley" — the spy thriller "Yugoslavia" — will tell how the local military conflict in the Balkans destroyed the old world order. The story combines a thriller and an action drama. The plot takes us back to the late 1990s, when NATO was preparing an operation against Yugoslavia. The main character, Maxim, an officer of the Russian military intelligence, will be played by Vasily Kopeikin, familiar to the viewer from the TV series "Marik". The star of "Lilies of the Valley" Nika Zdorik will try on the image of Belgrade journalist Zorica in a new project.

From the Battle of Kursk to Gorlovka

In total, about 100 projects in various genres and formats were announced during the presentation. Several new series will address the topic of artificial intelligence at once. In ""Human Code," AI helps a writer with the editing of a new novel, and in the comedy melodrama "My AI Friend," technology gives an insecure teenager a chance to win the favor of his beloved.

Content for a young audience is one of the priorities of the IRI. Since 2022, 331 projects for children and adolescents have been created with the support of the Institute.

In 2025 alone, based on the results of a separate children's content competition, 5.2 billion rubles were allocated to support 11 game projects, 18 animated series and six games. The audience will see these works in 2027-2028.

"Well," several cartoons will be released in the coming season, including "The ABC of Arts with Smeshariki", "Lesovichki" and "The Last Bogatyr. Heroes of Belogorie". Game series are also waiting for young viewers.: ""The first law of the Screw Driver" based on the novel by the Russian writer Alice Streltsova, a comedy about school life "Dandelion" and other interesting projects.

Another trend is web series and documentary content. Literally the day before the large-scale presentation, Goreslavsky said that documentary series have made a revolution over the past five years. At the end of last season, they entered the top for the first time in terms of visibility along with game tapes. Therefore, the bet on a non-fiction serial movie is no coincidence. One of the new projects that will be presented to the audience soon is "Children of the Battle of Kursk". This is a series based on real school essays about the summer of 2024, when part of the Kursk region was under occupation. And the web series "Brotherhood of Speed" will tell about people from Donetsk and Gorlovka who live by racing and follow their dreams.

At the end of the evening, the guests were shown exclusive footage of Sergei Ursulyak's new TV series. The first stage of filming large-scale battle scenes has already come to an end. The team still has a lot of work ahead, but the scope of the project is already impressive. Summing up the presentation, Elena Lapina laconically noted: The industry has something to be proud of.
