Rospotrebnadzor developments have accelerated the selection of medicines for wounded soldiers

In Russia, the turnover of overdue goods was reduced by 41 times — it was possible to prevent the sale of 862 million units of unsafe goods. This was announced by the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, during a meeting with Vladimir Putin on September 15. In addition to combating illiquid on store shelves, the president discussed with the head of the service the readiness for the epidemic season with an updated composition of flu vaccines, as well as innovative developments of Rospotrebnadzor for ITS participants. They reduced the selection of antibiotics for wounds to 25 minutes.

What was discussed at the meeting

Vladimir Putin praised the work of Rospotrebnadzor, noting the powerful Russian scientific school. The main challenge of the coming season is a complete reboot of the composition of trivalent and quadrivalent influenza vaccines: due to mutations of the virus, all three components (A/H1N1, A/H3N2 and B) had to be replaced with completely new ones, which the immunity of Russians has not yet encountered. Drugs are already being supplied to the regions on a large scale, and Russia retains the unique status of the only country that vaccinates more than 50% of the population free of charge from the state budget.

At the same time, the agency is keeping attacks from the outside: despite the fact that the number of shipments of dangerous infections from abroad has doubled, the federal "Sanitary Shield" project continues to work at the borders - contactless smart devices instantly calculate cases in the flow of passengers, preventing infections from spreading inside the country.

The scientific and practical base of the service is now partially reoriented towards solutions for military medicine that save lives on the front line. Rospotrebnadzor specialists have made a real breakthrough in diagnostics: new domestic PCR tests have reduced the time to determine the sensitivity of wound infections to antibiotics from 4 hours to a record 25-30 minutes, which allows military doctors to instantly select targeted treatment.

And in situations where antibiotics are powerless due to the resistance of pathogens, personal "cocktails" of bacteriophages go into battle - the development has already been put on stream in clinics in Moscow and Rostov. At the same time, the agency took special control over the legal protection of ITS participants and their families, using a network of 639 counseling centers across the country and returning about 4 billion rubles annually to citizens through court victories.

A tough barrier has also been built against counterfeiting in stores thanks to digital labeling algorithms. The special cash register regime literally blocked the sale of 862 billion units of illiquid and overdue items, reducing its turnover by 41 times. The powerful scientific potential allows Rospotrebnadzor to work on "distant approaches": the agency not only deploys biolabs in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, but also conducts plague vaccination in Mongolia with a domestic drug, and also extinguishes the outbreak of Ebola in Uganda, proving the global authority of the Russian school of epidemiology.
